Tschaikowskoje is located seven kilometers southwest of the city center of Kaliningrad (Koenigsberg) on the border to the transition to the Gurjewsk Rajon and the settlement Schosseinoje (Kalgen) . history

When the Gutsdorf Kalgen with the rural community Haffstrom was attached to the city of Königsberg in 1939 , it was (apparently) expanded at that time by a new settlement area in the area of ​​the Kalgen mill. This received the Russian name " Tchaikovskoye " after 1945 and belonged from 1947 to 2009 to the Baltic Rajon , a district of Kaliningrad, which then became part of the Moscow Rajon , to which Tchaikovsky is assigned to this day.
