Chornobayivka ( Ukrainian Чорнобаївка ; Russian Чернобаевка Chernobajewka ) is a village in the west of the Ukrainian Oblast of Kherson with about 9200 inhabitants.
Chornobayivka, one of the most populous villages in Ukraine, was founded in the 1780s. The present village was created in 1923 through the merger of the villages of Chornobayivka and Hussakivka.
Tschornobajiwka is the administrative center of the 48.6 km² district council of the same name in Biloserka district , to which the village of Krutyj Yar ( Крутий Яр ⊙ ) with about 200 inhabitants belongs.
The village is situated in the west of the city of Kherson counting village Stepaniwka and the east by the airport Kherson on the banks of Wirowtschyna , a 115 km long tributary of the Dnepr -Mündungsarmes Koschowa .
Chornobayivka has a train station on the railway line between Kherson and Mykolaiv . The M 14 road runs through the village . The district center of Biloserka is 17 km southwest of Chornobayivka.
