Stepanivka ( Ukrainian Степанівка ; Russian Степановка Stepanowka ) is a village in the Ukrainian Oblast of Kherson with about 3,600 inhabitants (2004).

Stepanivka is located in the north of the Oblast capital Kherson, on the banks of the Werewchyna ( Веревчина ), a 115 km long right tributary of the Dnieper estuary Koschowa ( Кошова ). In the west, the place is bordered by the railway line between Kherson and Mykolaiv , on the western side of which the village of Chornobayivka in Biloserka district borders. The M 14 trunk road runs south of the village .

In the village there has been a sanatorium for the mentally ill since 1888, which is now the Kherson Oblast Psychiatric Hospital. 1922/23 Stepanivka was annexed as a separate village Chornobayivka-Stepaniwka to the neighboring village of Chornobayivka. In 1958 Chornobayivka-Stepanivka ceased to exist as a separate village and became a district of Chornobayivka. On November 21, 1986 the area was again separated from Chornobayivka and under its old name Stepanivka again an independent district council within the Stadtrajon Suvorov of the oblast capital Kherson .
