Tsegaye Keneni Derera
Tsegaye Keneni Derera (born November 23, 1943 in Metcha Borodo , Ethiopia ) is an Ethiopian Roman Catholic clergyman and Vicar Apostolic of Soddo .
Life
Tsegaye Keneni Derera received the sacrament of the presbyterate for the Archdiocese of Addis Ababa on July 13, 1976 .
Pope Francis appointed him titular bishop of Maximiana in Byzacena on October 11, 2013 and coadjutor of the Vicar Apostolic of Soddo , Rodrigo Mejía Saldarriaga SJ . He was ordained bishop on November 24th of the same year by the Ethiopian Catholic Archbishop of Addis Ababa , Berhaneyesus Demerew Souraphiel CM . Co -consecrators were the Vicar Apostolic of Soddo, Rodrigo Mejía Saldarriaga SJ, and the Ethiopian Catholic Bishop of Adigrat , Tesfay Medhin .
With Rodrigo Mejía Saldarriaga's age-related resignation on January 12, 2014, he succeeded him as Vicar Apostolic of Soddo.
