Tucholka (noble family)
Tucholka is the name of an old Pomeranian noble family .
history
origin
The origin of the Tucholka family is not certain. On April 30, 1343 gives the Grand Master of the Teutonic Knights Ludolf König the Jesko small Tuchel (Tucholka, Kreis Tuchel ) 17 hooves and the lake in Tucholka to Culm Law as departmental traffic , so that by Tucholka as Lehnsnehmer of the Teutonic Order the are attributable to the old nobility. While those of Kurzbach carry the coat of arms of those of Seydlitz in confused colors , the family coat of arms of those of Tucholka, a white shield with three red fish superimposed, corresponds exactly to the family coat of arms of those of Seydlitz . So while the von Kurzbach are regarded as one tribe with the von Seydlitz due to the similarity of their coat of arms , this can also apply to the von Tucholka. While those of Kurzbach came to Silesia in the course of the German settlement in the east around 1200 , those of Tucholka helped to promote the settlement of Pomerania under the Teutonic Order .
