Tudor Paraschiva (born December 27, 1919 in Bucharest , † May 15, 1967 ) was a Romanian football player . He played 238 games in the highest Romanian football league, Divizia A , and took part in the 1952 Olympic Games .

Career as a player

Paraschiva started playing football in his hometown of Bucharest at Militari . In 1939 he transferred to local rivals Unirea Tricolor , who at that time in the top division, the Divizia A , took. He came there for his first assignment on September 16, 1939. With Unirea Tricolor he achieved the greatest success of his career in 1941 when he won the Romanian championship and reached the cup final in the same year .

After the war-related interruption of gaming operations, Paraschiva joined Jiul Petroșani in 1946 , who also played in the House of Lords. In Petroşani Paraschiva was able to prove his scoring qualities at the end of the 1940s, but could no longer build on these performances. With Paraschiva, the club mostly placed in the middle of the table. In 1957 he left after eleven years Petrosani and moved to local rivals Minerul Lupeni in the Divizia B . After promotion in 1959, he ended his career there after the 1959/60 season at the age of 40.

National team

Paraschiva played six games for the Romanian national soccer team and scored two goals. He had his first use on May 11, 1952 against Czechoslovakia , where he scored the opening goal after nine minutes. In the same year Paraschiva was in the squad for the soccer tournament of the Olympic Games in Helsinki and was used in the game against the eventual Olympic champion Hungary .

Career as a coach

After the end of his active career Paraschiva was from 1962 to 1963 coach of Pandurii Târgu Jiu , which played in the regional league, as the Divizia C was not played regularly at that time.
