Tullio Pinelli
Tullio Pinelli (born June 24, 1908 in Turin , † March 7, 2009 in Rome ) was an Italian writer and screenwriter .
life and work
From 1944 Pinelli was involved in the development of neorealism and also worked on surrealist topics. His first successes were working on scripts and with plots and scene templates for films by various Italian directors such as Mario Soldati , Alberto Lattuada , Roberto Rossellini and others. Pinelli later worked on subjects and templates for feature films and wrote numerous scripts , often also working as a co-author.
He became known through his long-term collaboration with Federico Fellini on several scripts, such as for the Fellini films La strada , Le notti di Cabiria and La dolce vita . Pinelli also worked with numerous other directors, such as Pietro Germi and Mario Monicelli .
From 1988 until his death Pinelli was married to the French actress Madeleine Lebeau (* 1923), who had supporting roles in films such as 8½ and Casablanca . He died in 2009 at the age of 100.
