The Tuning Nunatak is a small and rocky nunatak in Marie Byrd Land in West Antarctica . In the Ohio Range of the Horlick Mountains, it rises one mile north of Darling Ridge .
A team from the United States Antarctic Research Program to explore the Horlick Mountains took surveys in December 1958. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named him in 1962 after Preston O. Tuning, a meteorologist at Byrd Station in 1960.
