Tuomas Ketola (born February 21, 1975 in Turku ) is a former Finnish tennis player .

Career

Ketola won 16 titles on the second-rate Challenger Tour in the course of his career, five of them in singles and eleven more in doubles with various partners. At the ATP Tour level, he reached the finals of the doubles competition in Hong Kong in 1998 . On the side of Neville Godwin, however, he was clearly defeated by Byron Black and Alex O'Brien 5: 7, 1: 6. In Grand Slam tournaments , he achieved his best result in singles by reaching the second round at the 2004 US Open . In doubles, he reached the second round at both the 1998 French Open and Wimbledon in 1998 and 2005.

From 1993 to 2007 Ketola played for the Finnish Davis Cup team . He won 16 of 38 single games and with twelve games half of his 24 doubles. This means that Ketola has had the most double victories for the Finnish team to date. With 31 games played within 15 seasons, he is also the record player in Finland.
