Turka ( Ukrainian Турка ; Russian Турка , Polish Turka ) is a village in the Ukrainian Oblast Ivano-Frankivsk with about 2500 inhabitants (2001).
The village, first mentioned in writing in 1444 (another source gives the year 1400), celebrated its 610th anniversary in 2010.
Administratively, Turka belongs to the district council of Pjadyky in the east of Kolomyja Rajon . The village is located at an altitude of 335 m on the bank of the Turka ( Турка ), a 35 km long left tributary of the Prut , 7 km northeast of the Pjadyky community center, 10 km northeast of the Kolomyja district center and 60 km southeast of the Ivano-Frankivsk oblast center . The regional road P-24 runs south of the village .
