Frank Stahl Righeimer junior (born February 28, 1909 in Chicago , † July 5, 1998 in Palm Beach ) was an American fencer .

Life

Frank Righeimer took part in two Olympic Games . At the Olympic Games in Los Angeles in 1932 he took third place with the foil team and thus received the bronze medal with Hugh Alessandroni , George Calnan , Richard Steere , Joseph Levis and Dernell Every . He also achieved bronze with the Degen team, which in addition to Righeimer also included George Calnan, Miguel de Capriles , Gustave Heiss , Tracy Jaeckel and Curtis Shears . Four years later he was eliminated from the first round of the individual competition in Berlin with the epee, while he reached fifth place with the epee team. He won several national titles.

Righeimer studied at Yale University , for which he was also active in fencing, and graduated from Harvard Law School . He then worked as a lawyer in Chicago and Palm Beach .
