Tracy Jaeckel (born February 5, 1905 in New York City , † August 6, 1969 in Point O'Woods , Fire Island ) was an American sword fencer .
Life
Tracy Jaeckel took part in two Olympic Games : at the 1932 Olympic Games in Los Angeles , he won the bronze medal in the team competition with George Calnan , Miguel de Capriles , Gustave Heiss , Curtis Shears and Frank Righeimer . In 1936 he finished fifth with the team in Berlin . Jaeckel won seven national team titles.
In 1928 Jaeckel graduated from Princeton University and then worked in the family's own furrier business . After moving to the US Virgin Islands , he ran a men's goods shop there. He was also President of the Virgin Islands Fencing Federation .
