Location and surroundings
Below the summit lie the Dolina Roztoki and Dolina Białki valleys .
Neighboring peaks in the Wołoszyn massif are Wierch nad Zagonnym Żlebem and Roztocka Turniczka . Below the summit is the Wodogrzmoty Mickiewicza waterfall .
etymology
The name Turnia nad Szczotami can be translated as the tower over the broom . With brooms, steep slopes are meant, which the Górals reminded of upright brooms.
tourism
The Turnia nad Szczotami was part of the Orla Perć high-altitude path from 1903 to 1932 . However, the section from the Krzyżne mountain pass to the Polana pod Wołoszynem mountain pasture was closed in 1932. Since then, the area has been a strict nature reserve. It is not accessible to hikers.
