The Twin Peaks are two peaks in the Sierra Nevada Mountains in the state of California in the United States . The western peak has a height of 3758 m , the eastern one is 3731 m high. They are on the border between Tuolumne County and Mono County .
Yosemite National Park stretches to the south and west, and the Hoover Wilderness to the northeast . Peaks in the area are Matterhorn Peak in the northwest in Sawtooth Ridge , Virginia Peak in the south and Whorl Mountain in the southwest. The dominance is 7.7 km, so the mountain is the highest elevation within a 7.7 km radius. It is dominated by the east-southeast lying Dunderberg Peak .
