Tyler Doig (born February 15, 1986 in Seaforth , Ontario ) is a Canadian ice hockey player who has been under contract with the Toledo Walleye in the ECHL since November 2010 .

Career

Tyler Doig began his career as a professional hockey player in 2003 with the Barrie Colts in the Ontario Hockey League . In the summer of 2004 he moved to league rivals Guelph Storm , for whom he almost completely stormed the following three seasons. At the end of the third season he moved to the Belleville Bulls , again from the OHL. In the 2007/08 season he played for the first time in the ECHL at Columbia Inferno . In the same season he came to 24 appearances in the American Hockey League with the farm team Toronto Marlies . In the summer of 2008 he moved to league rivals Reading Royals , where Doig again came to five missions with the Toronto Marlies in the AHL. in the 2009/10 season he played for the Charlotte Checkers from the American ECHL. Also this season he came to two missions with the farm team Hartford Wolf Pack in the AHL. In the summer of 2010 he tried the jump to Europe. He signed a one-year contract with HC Pustertal from the Italian A1 series . After eight games in Pustertal, the contract was terminated by mutual agreement. In November 2010 he signed a contract with Kalamazoo Wings from the ECHL. After a few games he was transferred to the Toledo Walleye in the same month .
