William Grattan Tyrone Power (born November 2, 1797 near Kilmacthomas in County Waterford , Ireland , † after March 13, 1841 ) was an Irish actor and writer . He was born to Maria Maxwell and Tyrone Power and was with Anne, daughter of John Gilbert Esq . married from the Isle of Wight . Power was the great-grandfather of US actor Tyrone Power and the great-great-grandfather of film actor Tyrone Power junior and Taryn Power, an actress, and the singer Romina Power .

Power was among the passengers on the British liner President , which left New York on March 11, 1841 and was last seen on March 13. Then the ship and the 109 people on board disappeared without a trace.
