Tzadik is an American music label based in New York City . It was founded in 1995 by John Zorn and specializes in avant-garde and experimental music. In addition, the more than 400 Tzadik albums include many other styles, including free improvisation, jazz , noise , klezmer , rock music , soundtracks or hardcore punk .

Meaning of the name

Tzaddik is the eighteenth letter of Alephbeth and can be seen in the Tzadik logo. Furthermore, a tzaddik ( Hebrew : pious, just) is a righteous, a religious title in Hasidism .
