Course of the Uba (Уба) in the catchment area of the Irtysh |
The Uba ( Russian Уба , Kazakh Оба Oba ) is a right tributary of the Irtysh in the Kazakh region of Eastern Kazakhstan .
The Uba arises at the confluence of the Belaja Uba (Белая Уба, Ақ Оба, "White Uba", from left) and Chornaya Uba (Чёрная Уба, Қара Оба, "Black Uba", from the right) in the western Altai . From there it flows in a westerly direction. The mountain range of the Tigirek ridge extends north of the river , the southern flank of which is drained by the right tributary Beloporoschnaja Uba . The Uba takes on the tributaries Stanowaja Uba and Malaja Uba . Finally it passes the city of Schemonaicha and flows into the Schulbinsk reservoir through which the Irtysh flows . The Uba has a length of 278 km. The catchment area covers 9850 km². At the Schemonaicha gauge , 62 km above the mouth, the mean discharge (MQ) is 178 m³ / s.
