Ubaldo Ragona

Ubaldo Ragona (born December 1, 1916 in Catania , † August 15, 1987 in Rome ) was an Italian film director .

Life

Ragona was enthusiastic about filming at an early age and worked as an amateur director, turned to writing and founded the magazine “Passo ridotto”. He also presented four feature films that he made between 1955 and 1965. Among them is a documentary from the Nile Delta and the medium-length Baldoria nei Caraibi , made in the Antilles , with the science fiction film L'ultimo uomo della terra based on a novel by Richard Matheson , a work that is also published in a US Version was made and only received the attention it deserved very late. Ragona has also worked as a screenwriter , film editor and idea generator for his films .

Ragona's brother Claudio became known as a cameraman.
