Uche Kalu (born May 16, 1986 in Aba ) is a Nigerian football player . He is neither related nor related by marriage to the two Nigerian soccer players Henry Uche and the better-known Kalu Uche . He is often confused with the latter and moved to Turkey at the same time. While Kalu was loaned to the second division Rizespor in 2012, Uche moved to the first division Kasımpaşa Istanbul .
Career
society
Kalu was born in the Nigerian city of Aba and learned to play football in the youth teams of various teams in his homeland. He then played one season for Bussdor United FC from 2006 and then moved to FC Enyimba .
In the summer of 2012 he left his home and was loaned to Çaykur Rizespor in the Turkish TFF 1st Lig . With this club he was runner-up in the TFF 1st Lig at the end of the season and rose to the Süper Lig . Kalu was one of the most successful goalscorers of his team this season with nine league goals. After this success, Rizespor took Kalu and the transfer fee. In the Süper Lig he was only used sporadically by the new head coach Rıza Çalımbay .
In the spring of 2014 Kalu was loaned to the southern Turkish second division club Adanaspor for the rest of the season . In the summer of 2014, his contract with Rizespor was terminated.
For the second half of the 2015/16 season, he was hired again at Adanaspor. In the 1st Lig he was second division champion of the 2015/16 season with his club and achieved promotion to the Süper Lig .
Despite this success with Adanaspor, he moved to the second division Büyükşehir Gaziantepspor in the summer of 2016 . He left this club after a season.
National team
Kalu was nominated for the first time for the Nigerian national team in 2012 and has been one of the regularly nominated players ever since.
