Player career

Schrötter began playing football in Illerrieden , 15 km south of Ulm , with the local sports fans Illerrieden . He came to second division SSV Ulm 1846 via TSV Neu-Ulm in 1999 . For this he came as a young talent on December 8, 2000 (16th matchday) in the 2-2 draw in the away game against SSV Reutlingen to his professional debut when he came on for Adnan Kevrić in the 83rd minute. In his second point game in the 0-1 defeat in the away game against Alemannia Aachen , he was substituted on for Oliver Otto in the second half and was sent off in the 90th minute after a rough foul against Taifour Diane - who was also sent off because of a revenge. His last of only three second division games he played on May 20, 2001 (34th matchday) in a 4-2 win in the away game against the Stuttgarter Kickers .

In the following season - committed by VfB Stuttgart - he was used for its second team in five league games in the third-class Regionalliga Süd . Since he was unable to assert himself there, he left the club at the end of the season.

From 2002 to 2004 he played for the Baden-Württemberg top division club SpVgg Au . With the descent of the club to the Württemberg Association League , Schrötter moved to the league competitor Olympia Laupheim .
