Taifour Diane (born November 1, 1972 in Kankan , Guinea ) is a football player and coach from Guinea.
Career
He played 18 international matches for his native Guinea and played for Horoya AC in his youth . Today he also has German citizenship. With Bayer 04 Leverkusen , the only Bundesliga team he was previously employed by, he finished 7th in the 1994/95 season . However, Diane only completed one game that season. With 1. FC Saarbrücken he rose in 2007 from the Regionalliga Süd to the Oberliga Südwest . In 2007/08 he played at SV 07 Elversberg in the Regionalliga Süd. The following summer he moved to the Oberliga Südwest at Borussia Neunkirchen , where he ended his active career in early 2009.
In the 2009/10 season he coached the Saarland regional division Zelos St. Ingbert. Since June 2010 he has been employed as an assistant coach at the regional league club FC 08 Homburg, where he also looks after the regional league team.
Taifour Diane gained nationwide fame during his time at Alemannia Aachen . On March 3, 2000, he scored the 1-0 with an overhead kick at the sold out Tivoli in Aachen in the derby against Borussia Mönchengladbach . This remarkable goal against the rival was chosen as goal of the month for March in the ARD Sportschau.
Diane has been assistant coach at FC Homburg since the 2010/11 season . On the last matchday of the 2011/12 season, when the promotion of FC 08 Homburg to the Regionalliga Südwest was already certain, Diane, who left the club for the new season, was substituted on shortly before the end of the game to be able to say goodbye to the fans. In April 2011 he temporarily took over the post of head coach. From the second half of 2013 he will strengthen the coaching team of the women's team at 1. FC Saarbrücken. On March 2, 2016, Diane became the new head coach of 1. FC Saarbrücken, succeeding Falko Götz.
