Udo Taubitz
Udo Taubitz (* 1969 in Cottbus ) is a German author, communication trainer and speaker.
Taubitz wrote from 2000 to 2013 as a freelance journalist a. a. for Stern , Spiegel Online and Financial Times Deutschland , his radio reports broadcast Deutschlandfunk , ORF , Schweizer Rundfunk and many others. Today he gives writing seminars, a. a. at the German Press Academy, he coaches executives on communication topics and writes children's books. He is a member of the highly gifted Mensa Association in Germany .
Life
Udo Taubitz wrote for the Lausitzer Rundschau even as a schoolboy - until he was banned from writing a critical article. He completed an apprenticeship as a specialist salesperson for photo-optics-watch-jewelry and then worked as a photographer. In 1989 he fled to West Germany via Hungary . He studied linguistics as well as journalism and sociology at the University of Hamburg and at Trinity & All Saints College in Leeds . After internships at Radio Bridge Overseas in Harare ( Zimbabwe ), at NDR and at the book publisher Hoffmann & Campe , he worked as a freelance journalist for magazines and radio. So far he has published four children's books . Taubitz lives in Hamburg with his wife and three children .
