Ulf Palme

Ulf Palme (born October 18, 1920 in Stockholm , † May 12, 1993 in Ingarö ) was a Swedish actor .

Career

Palme studied from 1942 to 1945 at the Dramatens elevskola . He made his acting debut in 1942 at the Royal Dramatic Theater in August Strindberg's Svanevit .

From 1945 numerous roles in Swedish film and television productions followed. He repeatedly worked with the director Alf Sjöberg .

In 1956 he was awarded the Svenska Dagbladets Thalia Prize . In 1960 he received an O'Neill Scholarship .

Private life

Palme was married to the Italian Anna Maria Larussa from 1953 to 1963. The daughter Beatrice Palme (* 1960) emerged from the marriage and later also became an actress. In his second marriage, Palme was married to the opera singer Laila Andersson-Palme from 1984 until his death .

Ulf Palme was a cousin of the politician Olof Palme .
