Ulf Quaisser (born October 12, 1962 in Mannheim ) is a former German soccer player .

Career

In 1971 Quaisser's club career began at Phönix Mannheim . In 1979 he came to SV Waldhof Mannheim , with whom he won the A youth championship in 1980 . Quaisser was his own goal scorer in this game, but Waldhof won 2-1 against FC Schalke 04 with goals from Uwe Rahn and Egbert Zimmermann .

On the 36th matchday of the 1980/81 season, Ulf Quaisser was first used for the second division team Waldhof Mannheims. From the following season he was firmly in the professional squad and also fought for a regular place. In 1983 Mannheim rose to the first Bundesliga under coach Klaus Schlappner . In the first season in the first division, the team, peppered with many players from their own youth, was never on a relegation point and ended the season on a respectable eleventh place in the table.

By 1989 he played 126 first division games for Mannheim. He then moved to the southwest upper division club SV Edenkoben Rhineland-Palatinate and later played for the clubs TSV Amicitia Viernheim and SV Mörlenbach , where he ended his career in December 1995.

Today (2015) he is the head of an insurance agency. He has been married to his wife Nicole Quaisser for 26 years and has seven children.
