Ulf Zimmermann

Ulf Zimmermann (born March 25, 1937 in Freiberg ) is a German architect .

Life

After graduating from high school in 1956, Ulf Zimmermann studied architecture from 1957 to 1963 at the Technical University of Dresden . Since 1963 he has been working as an architect in the Rolf Göpfert project planning office in the Faculty of Civil Engineering at the Technical University of Dresden. From 1968 he worked as a design group leader at TU-Projekt Dresden. In 1976 he received the Medal Builder of the City of Dresden and in 1981 he won the Architecture Prize of the Dresden District , 1983 the Schinkel Medal of the Association of Architects in the GDR , 1984 the Architecture Prize of the Karl-Marx-Stadt District and 1985 the Prize of Technical University of Dresden awarded.

He has been working as a freelance architect since 1991, in various architectural associations until 2010, and as an individual architect since 2010. In 2001 he received the Erlweinpreis of the city of Dresden as well as the German builder award . He has been an honorary member of the Saxony Chamber of Architects since 2013 .

He lives in Dresden today.
