Uli Zeller

Uli Zeller (* 1976 ) is a German Protestant nurse , theologian , pastor , journalist and author.

Live and act

Zeller completed after his community service 1996/97 in the care of the elderly in Singen (Hohentwiel) training as a nurse. From 2000 to 2001 he worked as a nurse in the home for Holocaust survivors "Beth Eliezer Zedakah" in Ma'alot , Israel. Until 2002 he worked at the Donaueschingen district hospital and then until 2004 at the "Psychiatry Center Breitenau" in Schaffhausen , Switzerland. From 2006 he was a nurse in the retirement home in Thayngen , Switzerland and in 2008 he moved to the Emil-Sräga-Haus der Arbeiterwohlfahrt (AWO) in Singen am Hohentwiel, where he works as a pastor and supervisor.

Between 2001 and 2004 he attended the IFS - School of Writing at the "Axel Andersson Academy" (today: Hamburg Academy for Distance Learning). In 2004 he studied Protestant theology at the St. Chrischona Theological Seminary in cooperation with Middlesex University , London, from which he graduated in 2008 with a Bachelor of Theology . From 2011 to 2014 he completed an academic postgraduate course to become a Master of Theology at the Adelshofen Theological Seminar in cooperation with the University of South Africa (Unisa) . He wrote his master's thesis in practical theology on the subject of "dementia and pastoral care". Since 2015 he has been the author of the column "Uli & die Demenz". He is considered an expert in dealing with people with dementia.
