On the falcon is a 1906  m above sea level. NHN high ridge head of the Vilsalpsee mountains .

It is the last elevation of the ridge that extends from the Lahnerkopf to the northwest. The ridge, consisting of the main dolomite, is bounded to the north by brittle rock. In the eastern flank, which is interspersed with Schrofen , there are some conifers just below the summit.

The ascent leads without a path from the Lahnerscharte over the neighboring Älpelekopf , a few meters downhill, to a last small upswing on the small summit plateau. More difficult is a direct ascent via the steep eastern flank by leaving the path up to the Schrecksee .
