Ulrich Braukmann

Ulrich Braukmann (born April 6, 1959 in Willich ) is a university professor at the Schumpeter School of Business and Economics at the Bergische Universität Wuppertal . At the Schumpeter School, he heads the institute for start-up and innovation research and is also the holder of the chair for business education , start-up education and start-up didactics .

biography

Ulrich Braukmann studied economics (including business education ), sports and social sciences at the University of Cologne , the Cologne Sports University and the London School of Economics and Political Science . He received his doctorate from the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences at the University of Cologne and completed his habilitation in 1997 with Peter FE Sloane at the Faculty of Economics at the Friedrich Schiller University in Jena . After four appointments to the economics departments of the universities of Wuppertal , Stuttgart-Hohenheim and Leipzig , he took over the newly created chair for business education, start -up education and start -up didactics at the Schumpeter School of Business and Economics at the Bergische Universität Wuppertal and founded, together with the rector of the Bergische Universität Wuppertal, Lambert T. Koch , the Institute for Start-Up and Innovation Research (IGIF) (which both professors run jointly). A current work and research focus is on integrative innovation and start-up funding. The main areas of interest, however, are also: entrepreneurship education , entrepreneurial career development, management development and the development of entrepreneurial personality and organizations.
