Ulrich Brinkmann (politician)

Ulrich Brinkmann (born October 16, 1942 in Essen ; † December 1, 2000 ) was a German politician ( SPD ).

Life and work

After graduating from high school in Lünen , Ulrich Brinkmann studied at the University of Education in Dortmund . In 1965 he passed the first state examination and in 1969 the second. From 1965 to 1988 he was a secondary school teacher in Lünen, Bad Krozingen , Heitersheim and Freiburg im Breisgau . In Bötzingen he was the owner of an environmental agency. Brinkmann was married and had five children.

politics

In 1969 Brinkmann joined the SPD. From 1984 until his death he was a member of the state parliament of Baden-Württemberg . He represented constituency 48 ( Breisgau ) and was energy and economic policy spokesman for the SPD parliamentary group. From 1996 to 1998 he was deputy chairman of the economic committee.
