Ulrich Klever

Ulrich Klever (born February 11, 1922 in Krefeld , † June 1, 1990 in Sankt Georgen, Chiemgau ) was a German non-fiction author and journalist . After graduating from the Collegium Augustinianum Gaesdonck , Klever studied psychology and zoology , worked in agriculture and founded a publishing house for children's and young people's literature . Klever then became a journalist and was a. a. Editor-in-chief of Praline and Annabelle and columnist for Stern . In 1954 his dog etiquette was published , which was followed by numerous other non-fiction books , especially on antiques , dog keeping and cooking . Most of them have seen a number of, often revised, new editions , and many have been translated into several languages. From 1967 to 1973 Klever acted as a television cook in the program Die Drehscheibe des ZDF .

Klever was married to Eva Habbel, daughter of the publisher and non-fiction author Franz Ludwig Habbel (1894–1964); the marriage resulted in a daughter.
