Ulrich Rechenbach
Ulrich Rechenbach (born May 29, 1982 ) is a German actor .
Life
Ulrich Rechenbach grew up in the Rhineland. From 2004 to 2008 he studied acting at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg . During his studies he was already seen in productions of the Salzburg State Theater.
In 2007 he started his first engagement at the Hans Otto Theater in Potsdam . There he played u. a. in the world premiere of The Satanic Verses based on the novel by Salman Rushdie , “Lysander” in Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream and the role of “Mortimer” in Friedrich Schiller's Maria Stuart . Together with Angelica Domröse , Winfried Glatzeder and Friederike Walke he was on stage in the play Filumena Marturano and took on the role of "Jascha" in The Cherry Orchard by Anton Pavlovich Chekhov .
Then he went to the Theater & Philharmonie Thuringia and played a. a. in Friedrich Hebbels Die Nibelungen as well as in Gerhart Hauptmanns Einsame Menschen am Theater Gera .
From the 2010/2011 season, Rechenbach was a member of the drama ensemble at the Augsburg Theater . He made his first appearance there in Nis-Momme Stockmann's No ship will come . He also played in Maria Magdalena nach Hebbel and took on the role of the raven "Abraxas" from Otfried Preussler's Die kleine Hexe . In 2012 he played “Hugo” in Heike Frank's much-acclaimed production of Jean-Paul Sartre's The Dirty Hands .
In 2014 he moved to the Wiesbaden State Theater , but continues to work as a guest in Augsburg.
In parallel to his work at the theater, Rechenbach also played in some film and television productions. For his leading role in Hans Steinbichler's Autistic Disco , he was nominated in 2007 for the German Film Award in the category of Best Male Actor at the Munich Film Festival.
