Ulrich Schulte (politician)

Ulrich Schulte (born February 23, 1967 in Plettenberg ) is a German municipal civil servant (independent) and full-time mayor of the city of Plettenberg in the Märkisches Kreis .

Life

Schulte grew up in Plettenberg and made at the Albert-Schweitzer-Gymnasium in 1986 his Abitur . After military service in Iserlohn , he worked in a forge.

Ulrich Schulte has been employed by the city administration of his hometown since 1988. In 1991 he finished his training as an administrative graduate . From 1993 to 1996 he studied business administration for administrative staff at the Administration and Business Academy in Bochum . He completed his studies as a business economist (VWA). Most recently he was treasurer of the city of Plettenberg.

For the local elections on September 13, 2015 , the FDP , UWG and SPD nominated him as a joint candidate. Schulte was elected mayor with 59.03% of the valid votes cast and has been in office since October 21, 2015.

Schulte is married and has a son and a daughter. He lives in his hometown.
