Ulrich Wendt

Ulrich Wendt (born June 14, 1945 ) is a former German politician ( CDU ) and Lord Mayor of Baden-Baden .

Life

Ulrich Wendt was Lord Mayor of Baden-Baden from 1990 to 1998, then he lost his office to Sigrun Lang . For the Baden-Baden (33) state constituency he was a member of the Baden-Württemberg state parliament with a direct mandate from 1988 to 1992 in the 10th electoral term . During his time as Lord Mayor of Baden-Baden, numerous structural projects were implemented: the festival hall was built; by changing the zoning plan, the Baden-Oos airfield was rededicated as a commercial area and the Karlsruhe / Baden-Baden airport in Söllingen was built. The establishment of the “Frieder Burda Foundation”, which ultimately led to the construction of the Burda Museum , also fell during his term of office. A big critic was the predecessor Walter Carlein .

Wendt later worked for the energy supply company EnBW .
