Ulrich Wetzel

Ulrich Wetzel (born November 11, 1956 in Ingolstadt ) is a German lawyer , judge and actor in the court show Das Strafgericht .

Life

Ulrich Wetzel completed a law degree in Würzburg from 1976 to 1977 , where he joined the striking student association Landsmannschaft Teutonia Würzburg , before moving to the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main in 1979 . There he passed his first state examination in law in 1983 . Followed by a traineeship and second state exam until March 31, 1987 as a lawyer was allowed. In the Main metropolis he worked in a civil law firm until autumn 1990 and on September 28, 1990 he was resigned from Hesse Ministry of Justice appointed judge on probation.

Ulrich Wetzel then worked for a year at the local court in Wetzlar until he returned to Frankfurt in January 1992 as a criminal and lay judge at the local court in the department of environmental protection , tax and customs offenses, drug proceedings and special offenses. There he was appointed judge for life on January 15, 1993. From September 2, 2002 to 2008, he played the judge in the pseudo-documentary court show Das Strafgericht on RTL . He then worked as a judge at the Friedberg District Court (Hesse) . Since February 14, 2011 he has been director of the Seligenstadt District Court .
