Ulrike Rieder

Ulrike Rieder (born June 9, 1949 in Heilbronn ) is a German textbook author, speaker, trainer ( trainer A license ) and competition judge (at national and international level) in vaulting . She was a member of various committees of the German Equestrian Association (FN) and the vaulting committee of the international umbrella organization Fédération Équestre Internationale (FEI). In 1991 Rieder initiated the founding of the association "Der Vaulting Circle eV", a support and interest group for the sport of vaulting , of which she was chairman of the board until 2006 and of which she has been honorary chairman since then. She has received several awards for her commitment to vaulting.

In 2008, Rieder was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit on Ribbon for her services to German and international vaulting .

Ulrike Rieder studied sport and English in Tübingen and Heidelberg. The former high school teacher has been self-employed for many years and lives in Gaiberg . She was married to the sports scientist Hermann Rieder until his death and has three children.

Sporting successes

In the early days of competitive vaulting, Ulrike Rieder was an active vaulter in the tournament group of the Heilbronn Riding Club, with which she competed in the German championships from 1963 and won bronze in 1963 and silver in 1964. In 1967 the group she trained from the Heilbronn Riding Club won silver at the German Championships.
