UltraMixer is a commercial DJ program for Windows , macOS and Linux . UltraMixer is specially designed for the needs of mobile DJs who are booked as service providers for events such as weddings, and is also recommended for use in dance schools and restaurants. According to the company, the software was the first platform-independent DJ software for Windows, Mac OS and Linux. It has been developed and distributed since 2002 by the Dresden- based onexip GmbH (formerly UltraMixer Digital Audio Solutions GbR) of the same name . Since 2016 the company has been called "onexip GmbH".

Range of functions

The software functions as a dual audio player with two independently controllable decks . The pieces of music played can be mixed in real time , seamlessly fade over using crossfader and optional beat matching, and alienated with digital effects . Time stretching makes it possible to adjust the playback speed of the pieces of music without changing the pitch. With a 3-band and a 31-band equalizer , adjustments to the respective spatial conditions are possible.

A central component of the graphical user interface is a file manager called FileArchive for the quick search and organization of pieces of music and playlists . In addition to numerous audio formats such as MP3, AAC , FLAC or M4A , video files and audio CDs can also be played. Optionally, the archive surface can be uncoupled and placed on a second screen .

The software also contains a digital mixer with options for recording live sets , for automatic gain control (AGC) and, from version 3, various graphic waveform views. German and English are available as operating languages (as of July 2011).
