Um Hong-gil (born September 14, 1960 ) is a South Korean mountaineer . He is the second South Korean and the ninth mountaineer ever to have managed to climb all eight-thousanders . He climbed Mount Everest three times.
In 2015 the film The Himalayas by director Lee Seok-hoon , which is based on Forsaken, with Hwang Jung-min in the lead role. The film had over 7.8 million admissions in South Korea and successfully prevailed against the film Star Wars - The Force Awakens , which was running at the same time .
