The Una Voce movement (lat. Voce una - "with a voice") is a movement in the Roman Catholic Church , originally for the withdrawal of the liturgy reform of the Second Vatican Council of and the general reintroduction fair in tridentinischem rite began . If the last-mentioned goal has at least not been pursued with ultimate binding force in the course of time, the Una Voce continues to stand up for the preservation and maintenance of the traditional Latin liturgy, for the musical tradition that serves it, especially the Gregorian chant , and for the transmission of the " unadulterated good of faith ”.

The movement was founded on the initiative of the Norwegian Borghild Krane on April 12, 1966 in Rome , when the Latin language and Gregorian chant declined within the Catholic mass liturgy. Eric de Saventhem ( Erich Vermehren ) became the founding president .

Since 1970 Una Voce Deutschland eV has published a quarterly publication , the Una Voce Korrespondenz .

Since the beginning of the 1990s, in addition to the Una Voce Germany, there has also been Pro Missa Tridentina - lay association for the classical Roman rite in the Catholic Church. This is also a member of the international federation of Una Voce (FIUV).

Along with other Catholic-traditionalist organizations such as the Network of Catholic Priests , some initiative groups of Catholic lay people and priests and Pro Missa Tridentina, Una Voce is co-organizer of the Cologne liturgical conferences , which are held periodically in Herzogenrath in the Diocese of Aachen .
