Independent writers association Dresden
The Independent Writers Association Dresden (ASSO) is a registered association of writers for the promotion of literature .
history
The association was founded in December 1989. He resided briefly in Club Müllerbrunnen , later in the youth library in the street of Liberation (today "Hauptstraße"). In 1993 ASSO started a program to promote Polish literature in Germany. They enabled regular guest appearances by Polish authors such as Ryszard Krynicki , Anna Janko and Ernest Dyczek . In 1994 the association founded the Dresden Literature Office together with others. The association published the literary magazine Ostra-Gehege for several years and supports the Signum magazine . From 2001 to 2009 Uwe Claus was chairman of the ASSO. Since 2009 it's Uta Hauthal .
Other well-known members are Michael Wüstefeld , Michael Bartsch , Jens Wonneberger and Michael G. Fritz .
