Michael Wüstefeld

Michael Wüstefeld (born September 12, 1951 in Dresden ) is a German writer .

Life

Michael Wüstefeld studied agricultural engineering at the Technical University of Dresden from 1970 to 1974 after graduating from high school and graduated as a qualified engineer . 1974 to 1991 he worked as a technologist in an engineering office in Dresden. After unemployment in 1992 and a position as an office assistant, he has been living and working in Dresden as a freelance writer and critic since 1993.

He publishes poetry and prose . In keeping with the other media-including way of working of his earliest publications in connection with prints, his work also includes a libretto. Wüstefeld's work has been and is recognized by numerous prizes and grants.

From 1989 to 2009 he was a co-founder member of the Independent Writers Association Dresden . Wüstefeld has been a member of the PEN Center Germany since 1996 .
