Unahi is a small settlement in the Far North District of Northland on the North Island of New Zealand .
geography
The settlement is located around 5 km north of Awanui on a small peninsula that protrudes into Rangaunu Harbor . The settlement has access to the New Zealand State Highway 1 about 2.5 km south of Waimanoni via a few back roads.
economy
The settlement lives from agriculture. Fishing is in decline and the processing facilities that exist on the quay are no longer being used.
