Waimanoni is a settlement in the Far North District of Northland on the North Island of New Zealand .
geography
The settlement is located a good 2 km north of Awanui and around 9 km north of Kaitaia in the plain of the Awanui River , which passes the settlement to the east and flows a little further north into Rangaunu Harbor . The New Zealand State Highway 1 , which connects the settlement with Awanui and Kaitaia , runs through Waimanoni .
