Uncle Acid & the Deadbeats are an English doom metal and psychedelic rock band from Cambridge .

history

The band was formed in 2009. In 2010 the debut album Vol. 1 was released, before the second album Blood Lust followed in 2011 . After the single Poison Apple was released on March 18, 2013 , the album Mind Control followed on April 15 on Rise Above Records and on May 14 on Metal Blade Records . The album was recorded at Chapel Studios under the direction of Jim Spencer . The publication was followed by two concerts in London .

style

The group plays a mix of 1970s Doom Metal and Psychedelic Rock, with guitar riffs reminiscent of Black Sabbath . According to their own account, the band was influenced by artists such as Neil Young , Black Sabbath, The Beatles , Electric Wizard and The Kinks .
