The União das Freguesias de Chaviães e Paços is a Portuguese municipality ( Freguesia ) in the district ( Concelho ) Melgaço in northwestern Portugal .

history

The municipality was created in the course of the regional reform on September 29, 2013 by merging the former municipalities of Chaviães and Paços . Chaviães became the seat of the new administration.
