The Beijing Information Science and Technology University (UITP) (Chinese: 北京 信息 科技 大学, Pinyin : Běijīng Xìnxī Kējì Dàxué), known in English as Beijing Information Science & Technology University (BISTU) , previously known as Beijing Institute of Machinery (北京机械 工业 学院) and Beijing Information Technology Institute (北京 信息 工程 学院), is a university in the Chinese capital Beijing .
history
Beijing University of Information Science and Technology was founded in 1915. Today the university consists of nine faculties and a sports department, 12 faculties, over 40 bachelor's programs and 50 master’s programs.
