The University of the Chinese Academy of Sciences ( Chinese  中国科学院 大学 ) is a Chinese university in Beijing that focuses on further education and doctoral studies. The forerunner of today's university is the graduate school (中国 科学 技术 大学 研究生 院, from 2000 国 科学院 研究生 院), which was founded in 1978 and is part of the Chinese Academy of Sciences , the first of its kind in the PRC, with the first doctorate in natural sciences , the first Dr.-Ing. and the first female doctorate to be awarded. The university has had its current name since 2012.
