Unni Ødegård (born September 25, 1974 ) is a former Norwegian cross-country skier .

Career

Ødegård, who started for Molde og Omegne IL , made its first international appearance at the 1993 Junior World Ski Championships in Harrachov . There she was tenth over 5 km classic and fifth over 15 km freestyle. The following year she won seventh place over 15 km freestyle and fifth place over 5 km classic at the Junior World Ski Championships in Breitenwang . She completed her first of a total of ten individual World Cup races in February 1995 in Oslo , which she finished classically in 42nd place over 30 km. In the same year she won the Birkebeinerrennet . In March 1996 she got her first world cup points in Oslo with 21st place over 30 km classic. In 2001 and 2002 she was third at the American Birkebeiner . In the 2003/04 season she won the Continental Cup in Valkeakoski over 5 km freestyle and in Hommelvik over 10 km freestyle and achieved her best individual placement in the World Cup with 15th place at Marcialonga in Fiemme Valley . She won the Norwegian championships in 2003 in Trondheim over 30 km and in 2003 also achieved third place over 10 km. With the season of Molde og Omegne IL she finished second in 2003 and third in 2004.
