Unterburgkirchen was a municipality in the Altötting district . The main town was Burgkirchen am Wald .
history
"Purch" was first mentioned in a document in 788, and the place has been called Burgkirchen since 1130. A church was built in place of the castle that gave it its name, and at the time of Duke Arnulf the Evil (907–937) Burgkirchen was already a parish. In 1231 the parish of Burgkirchen was assigned to the Altötting collegiate monastery , from which it was cared for until secularization in Bavaria . In 1810 the separation from Altötting took place, in 1822 she came to the diocese of Passau . The community of Unterburgkirchen, founded in 1818 with the Bavarian community edict, was dissolved in the course of the regional reform in Bavaria on October 1, 1971 and incorporated into the Tüßling market.
