The Fürst von Hohenzollern group of companies is a German group of companies with a network of six companies in five industries with around 3,200 employees.

The conglomerate is owned by the Hohenzollern company and is a highly diversified company ( conglomerate ) with subsidiaries that have different value chains and are not in competition with one another.

The owner of the group is Karl Friedrich von Hohenzollern .

The company is based in Sigmaringen in Baden-Württemberg . The Fürst von Hohenzollern group of companies was reorganized on January 18, 2006 from what was then the court chamber . The court chamber existed since the time of the principality of Hohenzollern-Sigmaringen .

Business areas

The six business areas are divided into five economic areas:

  • Real estate: Real estate division - property management, facility management , leasing and sales
  • Construction and furniture joinery : Joinery division at Nickhof (until 2004 Princely Hohenzollern Court joinery and restoration workshop ), five employees
  • Tourism: Sigmaringen Castle division (Baden-Württemberg) and Arber-Bergbahn division (Bavaria), currently around 100 employees
  • Forestry : Forest division - forestry area around 15,000 ha (Baden-Württemberg: 12,800 ha, Bavaria: 2,200 ha), hunting area around 20,000 ha, currently 35 employees. The forest ownership is largely distributed over the former Hohenzoller Lands with the Achberg exclave . There are also forest properties in Umkirch , Gernsbach (Ebersteiner Forst) and Bayerisch Eisenstein ( Großer Arber ). At the end of 2010, the division started direct marketing of game meat. The Fürst von Hohenzollern group of companies is Germany's third largest private forest owner.
  • Investment: Participation and Finance division - The industrial company " Zollern GmbH & Co. KG " with over 2,800 employees and products in the steel profiles, foundry technology, drive technology and mechanical engineering elements is a subsidiary of the "Prinz von Hohenzollern GmbH" wine and sparkling wine company Fürst von Hohenzollern group of companies.
